We travel for 5 or 6 hours. Until the town called Cabanaconde. In the circuit we can observe from the public bus some animals and different plants, as well as impressive view point “san Miguel”. In Cabancacobnde we will have breakfast later we will start the trekking to San Juan de chuccho in the circuit between to Cabanaconde to San Juan we will see fantastic views, plants from the highlands, etc. In San Juan we will visit in a small family house where we will have lunch after have a free time.
Later on we will leave from San Juan to Oasis in the circuit we can observe part of flora and fauna as well as the local person, we will past for 2 towns knows as Cosñirhua and Malata, in those towns we will see who the houses are constructed by the local people and also how is the domestic daily life of these people. What do they do, what king of animals have breeding, etc. After this place showing us it’s fantastic countryside, we will see also a colonial church, later on in Oasis we will past the night, this place is fantastic to relax in the swimming pool, later we will have dinner and then we will have free time to drink some coca cola, beer and go to sleep because the next day we will start the trekking earlier approx. 3:00 a.m this trekking will be per 3 or 4 hours going up all the time until Cabanaconde.
Finally, we will past the night knowing the life of the local people is.
We leave from Oasis at 3:00 a.m before we leave we will have coca tea or tea then we will start the trekking to Cabanaconde we will arrive to Cabanaconde at 6:30 a.m have breakfast and then we will take a bus from this place to the view of Cruz del Condor where we will wait for the condor we will be there per 1 hour.
Later on we will take other bus from Cruz del Condor to Chivay we will be in the bus per 2 hours aprox. In Chivay we will have 2 options one of them is to visit the market where you can buy some present for your family. Later we will take the bus to go back to Arequipa.
The travelers have to take light clothes for the trekking as well as warm clothes for the night, swimming suit, trekking shoes, sun blocker, and repellent for the mosquitos, sunglass, cap, water, sour fruits, chocolates, lemon sweets and camera.El Cañón del Colca, ubicado en la Provincia de Caylloma, tiene más de 100 Km.
